Kyle Larson sensed a change in Ross Chastain’s attitude as he revealed his thoughts

Ardent fans of NASCAR don’t need an introduction to the notorious and highly polarising Ross Chastain or his intense rivalry with HMS ace Kyle Larson.

Ahead of his Darlington run that saw the two engage in yet another wreck on track, Larson certainly raised some eyebrows with his comments. In an exclusive given to the popular Frontstretch media’s Dalton Hopkins, Larson briefly explained his thoughts on his rival’s apparent shift in attitude.

Larson dived into his rival’s psyche as he mentioned his usual pattern of apologizing for his aggressive in-your-face kind of racing soon after wrecking someone. Even as he mentioned Chastain’s “standard procedure,” Larson also said, I feel like he’s getting little bit like that and yes I mean there’s times where he obviously feels really sorry and you know I would say like Dover he felt really bad and there’s other times you know where I feel like he doesn’t feel bad but he feels like he has to apologize, where I think you see less of those moments now.”

And just a day after his comments about Chastain, things quickly went for a toss as the bitter rivals went down as Chastain crashed Larson while Larson took the turn to plow the #1 Chevy.

While Larson looked to dish out a clinical performance at the track, it was fans that got the best out of Sunday’s race. And little did they know that the race was going to be a rollercoaster of cautions. Adding to the already furious feud between the two was the late tangle that caused massive damage to the #1 Chevy.

With the two engaged in the brutal conflict, Chastain was at the receiving end as he couldn’t finish the race while Larson quenched his thirst for revenge after taking it to the driver as he finished 20th. On the other hand, Larson’s HMS teammate William Byron picked up his third win of the season.
