Do the words “Chase is Back” ring a bell? If you are a Chase Elliott fan, then you may certainly remember the commercial announcing Elliott’s return to Martinsville after his recovery from a fractured tibia. However, by any chance, if you missed the TV promo announcing his return, then maybe you should stay tuned to catch the possibly upcoming ‘Bowman is Back’ commercial.

While competing in a sprint car race on Tuesday, Hendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman sustained a fractured vertebrae. In an attempt to clinch the second position, Bowman, unfortunately, made contact with Conner Morrell—a collision that caused the two cars to flip multiple times. As a result of which, the Hendrick Motorsports driver is expected to miss the upcoming three to four weeks of races.

However, with his recent post on Twitter, it’s safe to assume that, unlike his vertebrae, Bowman’s sense of humor has not been impacted by the wreck.

Alex Bowman hopes to be treated the same way as Chase Elliott

Fox Sports reporter Bob Pockrass recently shared the updates on Alex Bowman‘s injury. Revealing that Xfinity Series driver Josh Berry would be filling in for Bowman’s #48 for the upcoming races, Pockrass also divulged the details of Bowman’d injury and subsequent treatment at the Charlotte Motorspeedway.

While most NASCAR fans were busy expressing their concerns for the HMS driver and evaluating the repercussions of the incident, Bowman took this opportunity to ask the Fox reporter what his future commercial would look like. Well, some might feel that it’s bold for Bowman to assume that his return would be treated the same as NASCAR’s most popular driver. But there isn’t any harm in asking for that.

But shouldn’t Josh Berry get a commercial first? After filling in for Elliott, Berry would once again drive for HMS in the Cup Series in the 2023 season.
