Great minds think alike. And it seems that NASCAR driver Alex Bowman and American businessman Elon Musk share the same views about the social media platform – Twitter.
Despite the billionaire entrepreneur being a major stakeholder of Twitter, his thoughts about the social media site coincide with that of Alex Bowman.

Initially looking to buy $44 billion worth of shares, it seems Elon Musk is finding a way to back out of it. Citing the excessive number of bots and fake accounts on the site, Musk accused the company of hiding essential information and misrepresentation.
Just like Musk, Hendrick Motorsports driver, Alex Bowman isn’t a fan of the social media platform. In a recent interview with The Athletic, the #48 racing driver expressed his issues with Twitter. When the interviewer asked Bowman about his favorite form of social media, he immediately said that he would pick Instagram any day.
Explaining why he dislikes Twitter, Bowman said; “I think Twitter is the armpit of the world. Pretty much just the worst human beings ever hang out on Twitter. And they like to say the worst things they can possibly think of at all times.”
Continuing his rant against Twitter, Bowman added; “And then they complain when they get blocked or muted. So that’s life on Twitter. If we could just throw that in the dumpster, I’d be good with it.”
Even though Bowman is not a fan of the social media platform used by approximately 396.5 million users, he has his own favorite. Admitting that he would be ready to drop all other social media platforms and pick just this one, Bowman explained why it is way better than Twitter.

Alex Bowman on his favorite social media platform and why it is better than Twitter
Although Alex Bowman is not a huge fan of Twitter, he pretty much loves to be on Instagram. However, there are a few issues that the NASCAR Cup Series driver feels could change his experience with the app in general. Talking about why he loves Instagram, he said; “I like Instagram because I feel like Instagram is much more positive for the most part. And I feel like when you have to share things with a picture, it has better context.”

Explaining his issues with the new updates on the app, Bowman continued; “even though it’s basically just becoming TikTok at this point. That’s kinda halfway started to ruin it. If Instagram would just go back to pictures and sentences, it’d be a better place.”

Furthermore, the 29-year-old driver added that when a user blocks someone on Instagram, the app gives you an option to block all the other accounts they create in the future. Calling the feature great, Bowman said; “If you could do that on Twitter, I feel like I would only have to interact with people like that a fifth as much. Because it’s all of the same people just creating new spam accounts just to say dumb stuff.”
