At the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch had kicked off his home race on a difficult note. This was because he crashed out in practice and had to start from the back in a spare car. From there, he began his spirited charge up the order to try and win on home soil. However, on his journey, he ran afoul of the Stewart-Haas of Chase Briscoe.

When the first stage of the race ended, the #18 driver got too friendly with the rear of Briscoe’s car. Fortunately, spotter Tony Hirschman was able to get him to ease off and prevent a disaster. He warned him that they had been performing well so far, and not to take them back to square 1. However, Briscoe and his spotter Joey Campbell were not amused at the tactics.

Where did Kyle Busch and Chase Briscoe finish the race?

In the end, poor old Briscoe ended up crashing out of the race and was classified 35th. On the other end of the scale, Kyle Busch finished in a fine fourth place. To make matters even better, he was the best of the Toyotas and managed to beat all the Ford drivers. However, the path was not easy, as he got hampered by ill-timed cautions.

The most significant one was when Erik Jones and Bubba Wallace brought out a caution for two separate incidents. At that time, Busch had just slapped on a fresh set of four tires. However, the Hendrick Motorsports contingent had chosen that moment to dive in the pits and put on two tires. With fresher rubber, Alex Bowman and Kyle Larson ran riot, before finishing 1-2, ahead of Ross Chastain and Busch himself.
