This past Friday, Kyle Larson‘s brother-in-law Brad Sweet roared to victory in the World of Outlaws series. At the time, he was competing in the Federated Auto Parts Race at the I-55 Speedway. During the race, there was an incident involving two of his rivals for the race win. The accident occurred on lap 26 when Carson Macedo collided with David Gravel for the race lead.

Third-place driver Sweet was not about to decline an open invitation and stole the lead. After the eventful race, Bubba Wallace‘s Spotter, Freddie Kraft, went on to talk about Kyle Larson’s brother-in-law’s race on the latest episode of the DBC podcast.

Bubba Wallace Insider has a major prediction for Kyle Larson’s brother-in-law

In the Door Bumper Clear Podcast, Kraft said, “It’s interesting. At the beginning of the year, I thought Sweet was going to have a challenge for the championship this year. It was going to come from either [David] Gravel or [Carson] Macedo. He’s won the last three of four championships over there.”

“Gravel’s leading the race, at least it looked to me like a racing deal. Carson slides it in there and TJ thinks that Gravel had a spotter that was telling him it was coming. It looked like a racing deal. I’m assuming he must have cut his left rear because it looked like he had a flat.”

“I know that Macedo did, I don’t know about Gravel, but now Sweet takes off, wins the race. Maybe the sixth time he’s won it repeatedly.”

How did the race play out for Brad Sweet?

As it happened, Sweet started the race in second place behind David Gravel. From the start itself, it was a showdown between Gravel, Sweet, and Macedo. However, Sweet spent much of the race in third place while the other two dueled. It was only after his rivals collided that he got a win and absolutely dominated the proceedings.

Admittedly, Larson himself was absent from this race, owing to his NASCAR commitments. This did pay off handsomely when Larson roared to victory at the Martinsville Speedway. The win followed up his earlier triumph at the Richmond Raceway.
