A while ago, Kevin Harvick issued some very scathing remarks about Dale Earnhardt Jr. Dale Jr is regarded as the most popular NASCAR driver and the ‘original People’s Champion’. This was before Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott assumed that mantle. However, Harvick insisted that Dale Jr’s influence was detrimental for the sport. Ironically, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver is expected to appear on Earnhardt Jr’s podcast.

Back then, Harvick said, “(Earnhardt) hasn’t been anywhere close to being our most successful driver. For me, I believe Dale Jr. has had a big part in stunting the growth of NASCAR because he’s got these legions of fans, this huge outreach of being able to reach these places none of us have the possibility to reach.”

Owing to these comments and the subsequent fallout, fans are excited to see sparks fly in the show. When Harvick made those comments, he tried to back it up with statistics, saying that Dale Jr won nine races in 10 years. Of course, he acknowledged that his comments will be far from popular, but they are facts all the same.

If we’re being honest, so many fans on Twitter were thrilled. One fan even declared that it would probably be the best episode ever since Kyle Busch appeared. Meanwhile, others suggested that the two of them would likely be fairly civil with each other. While the natural reaction would be for the two to have some bad blood, both drivers are mature. In addition to that, the episode could potentially give fans some closure.

Another fan even joked that it would be fun to see Chase Elliott as a co-host. This is largely a reference to the numerous run0ins between Harvick and Elliott this season. Their rivalry also escalated into a bit of a feud when they clashed at a few tracks during the season.

One think is for sure, this particular episode of the Dale Jr Download will be entertaining. Of course, the topics of their conversation will be a mystery until the episode actually drops.
