There has been a lot of speculation about NASCAR driver Matt DiBenedetto. Just recently, he put out a very cryptic tweet that hinted that he is inking a new contract very soon. Previously, he drove for Rackley W.A.R., but now Ty Dillon is taking up that position for 2024.  This leaves DiBenedetto in the lurch, though his social media post has said otherwise. The most likely option would be an Xfinity Series ride in 2024.

According to some rumors, one option could be AM Racing, who have two cars. One of them is Hailie Deegan, driving the #15 car, but the #25 is up for grabs. Admittedly, Brett Moffitt is heavily linked, since he drove for them last year. However, one has to wonder if that drive will go to DiBenedetto instead. If that does happen, it could even benefit Hailie Deegan in her rookie season.

Truthfully, having both DiBenedetto and Deegan as teammates is big news for Xfinity standards. This is because both are very high-profile names, but it could spell disaster for Moffitt, who was the full-time driver in 2023. One thing is for sure, a potential deal with AM Racing for Matt DiBenedetto could have a massive ripple effect on the driver market.

On the other end of the scale, DiBenedetto definitely deserves a top seat in the Xfinity Series. Even though he does have a bit of notoriety for falling out with team owners and sponsors. However, there is no denying that he is a hugely talented driver and he is of a Cup-level caliber. As a matter of fact, he even made the Playoffs in the 2020 NASCAR Cup season, finishing in a career-best 13th place.

Deegan is an up-and-coming driver in NASCAR circles, and a driver of DiBenedetto’s caliber can be a boon. To be precise, as a rookie, Hailie Deegan will be keen to learn from the likes of Matt DiBenedetto. As long as she learns the right lessons and improves her race craft, she can be a force to be reckoned with in 2024.

Meanwhile, Matt DiBenedetto can also benefit from this, because the AM Racing team is a competitive Xfinity team. At the hands of Brett Moffitt, the team managed to produce decent results. So it would not be too much of a stretch to expect big things from both Hailie Deegan and Matt DiBenedetto. That is, assuming that Matt DiBenedetto is signing for AM Racing, and not a different team in 2024.
