Competing in the Cup Series can undeniably be an intense affair at times. When these asphalt and concrete-loving cars are placed on artificially created dirt surfaces, their behavior changes drastically. Last weekend at the Bristol Dirt race saw just that.

Joe Gibbs Racing driver, Denny Hamlin, was spun around due to contact with Chase Elliott‘s replacement driver. Thereby ruining his race. Later on, in one of his podcasts, Hamlin actively pointed the finger at the driver of the number 9 car from Hendrick Motorsports.

Denny Hamlin comes up with another hot topic of discussion after Bristol
Talking about Joey Logano’s “off night,” Hamlin, in the latest episode of his ‘Actions Detrimental’ podcast, stated, “He got caught up in some incidents. But even when he got back there where I was, he passed back pretty quick and I saw him making moves back towards the front.”

Accusing Josh Berry, the substitute driver for #9, for his misfortunes, Hamlin added, “But again, sometimes in dirt racing you get caught up in other people’s incidents. That’s how I got my front nose taken off as Josh Berry spun out right in front of me and I got knocked from behind into it.”

Denny Hamlin shares his views on Joey Logano at Bristol
Joey Logano is a highly talented and accomplished racing driver, with two Cup Series championships to his name. As a versatile competitor, he has demonstrated his adaptability by tackling various racing surfaces, including dirt tracks.

Although he is not primarily known for his dirt racing skills, Logano’s innate talent and understanding of vehicle dynamics enable him to perform well on such surfaces. However, the race at Bristol dirt did not end well for Logano in the end.
During the same episode, Denny Hamlin shared his views on Logano’s performance last weekend.

Talking about Joey Logano, Hamlin stated, “He must have had front-end and you must not have knocked his right rear camber out. But yeah, he is good at dirt racing. you know… Dirt stock car racing, for sure.”

“He dominated the truck race. walked away with that one wasn’t even close. And then, yeah, I thought he was going to be someone that was going to battle for a win on Sunday but obviously incidents happen.”

The race yielded unfortunate results for several drivers who were expected to do better. But apparently, that is the nature of dirt racing after all. Things happen, and sometimes they are just out of your control.
