NASCAR Cup Series driver, Bubba Wallace, is a name that has spread across households like wildfire. However, his real name is not “Bubba.” So a year ago, Wallace explained why he did not want his girlfriend to call him that and instead just stick to his real name.

Wallace said, “But there’s only a few people, that I won’t allow to call me Bubba, which is funny. My girlfriend when she says it, it’s almost like she’s making fun of the name or joking. Her tone just doesn’t sound right, so I do not allow her to say, Bubba… That’s how it’s always been, for some reason, I don’t know. I haven’t accepted her to be able to say that yet.”
His full name happened to be, Darrell Wallace Jr, but over time, his nickname which was “Bubba” started to be used more and more often. After a certain point, “Bubba,” became more of a brand name for him.
Who is Bubba Wallace’s girlfriend?
Bubba Wallace’s long-standing girlfriend and now fiance, Amanda Carter has been one of the biggest supportive figures in his life, through both thick and thin.
The pair started dating back in 2016, and have been together ever since. Wallace only about last year managed to propose to her with the intent of being married soon. Wallace later shared a Twitter post stating, “Why I waited so long..we will never know, The wait is over!! Here’s to forever! Forever ever!”

Unlike Wallace, Carter works as a Senior financial analyst at the Bank of America based out of Charlotte North Carolina. The couple has been through both tearful and joyous moments together, they even apparently broke up back in 2018, only to rework their relationship and get back together soon again. Now the couple seems to be in preparation to plan for their upcoming wedding.
