One standout prankster is none other than Kevin Harvick.

While Kevin Harvick is widely acknowledged as one of the most dedicated and determined NASCAR drivers, there’s a hidden facet to him that only a select few are privy to. As Harvick gears up to retire at the end of this season, he recently received a special tribute video, a heartwarming gesture from his friends, colleagues, and competitors.

A hilarious payback from Tony Stewart after Harvick hampered the latter’s bedside clock

Between 2001 and 2013, Kevin Harvick tore up the track for RCR and then joined Stewart-Haas Racing, owned by Tony Stewart. Tony briefly raced for his own team before retiring. During their NASCAR days together, Harvick played one of his signature pranks on Tony.

In a recently released video on the Stewart-Haas Racing YouTube channel, Tony recounted the hilarious incident: “I woke up on my own and saw the clock beside the bed, and I’m like, oh my gosh, we got to practice in 40 minutes; I walked outside the motorhome and Kevin’s motorhome was right next to mine, and our two bus drivers were talking out front, and they’re like, well, you’re off early going in for practice, and I’m like, we got 15 minutes before we gotta run. And he goes, No, two hours and fifteen minutes; somehow my clock got set two hours off in the bedroom back there, and I didn’t know it.”

The moment Tony realized Harvick was the one behind the clock prank, he knew payback was in order. He wasted no time heading to Harvick’s room, where his wife, DeLana Harvick, was still in bed. Narrating the incident, as Tony put it, “Kevin is in the shower just starting a shower, and the first thing he does is put his hands over his waist and I just climbed right inside the bed with DeLena with uniform and all.”

It took Kevin a few seconds to grasp what just happened as he was about to step into the shower. Eventually, Harvick laughed it off and went to the shower, while Tony and DeLana had a good chuckle about the whole hilarious incident.

Harvick certainly knows how to deliver a smash-hit prank that leaves his team in stitches. Back in 2011, he hatched a plan involving a dummy phone from Sprinkler, intending to trick his right-hand man, Josh Jones, into thinking his phone got smashed. During the first attempt, things didn’t go as planned, as Jones grabbed his real phone and returned to the motorhome. But Harvick wasn’t one to give up easily.

On the second try, he grabbed the dummy phone and went to town with a hammer, capturing Jones’s reaction on camera. Jones, believing his precious phone had met its doom, was visibly tense and crestfallen, exclaimed, “Oh My Fu**. You just fu**ed my phone. Oh my god, you just ruined my phone[…] I hate you.”

However, after a few seconds of disbelief, Jones finally realized that it wasn’t his actual phone that Kevin Harvick had crushed. The relief and surprise were evident in his reaction as he exclaimed, “You got me.”
