On Sunday afternoon at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson once again justified his place among the finest racecar drivers in the world. Larson asserted his dominance on the racetrack, securing a hard-fought victory, upholding the Chevrolet as unbeatable. Leading an impressive 181 of 267 laps, he secured his 24th career win in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series. At first look, it might seem like Larson had an uncompetitive race out there, but the reality is just the opposite.

It was a nail-biting clash, chiefly between Larson and Tyler Reddick. Although Reddick fought tooth and nail till the end, the 31-year-old from California had the last laugh. After the race, Larson described how he felt to be back to winning ways.

As the green flag dropped, Larson piloted his No. 5 Chevrolet with precision, weaving through the pack like a seasoned maestro. Though he drove to victory on the intermediate Speedway, the win required him to use every bit of his racing prowess. In an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90), Larson talked about his performance on Sunday.

Larson seemed to be in great positive spirits about how his performances have panned out, as he said, “ I feel like we just get our car better and better every time we come back. I felt like I was better this time than the fall race so and even compared to the others…other races her”. He further added, “It’s never been easy. You know I had to hold off Bell here in the fall, hold off Reddick here late so.”

The restart of the race with just 27 laps remaining was a make-or-break moment for Tyler Reddick. While Reddick relentlessly closed the gap, challenging Larson’s lead, the latter skillfully used his No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro to block Reddick’s progress. The race thus ended with Larson securing victory by a margin of 0.441 seconds over Reddick.

Despite putting in sincere efforts, Tyler Reddick could not make it to victory at the Pennzoil 400 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The season had already been tough on Reddick, and struggling again because of pit road issues did not make him any less frustrated. 23XI Racing’s #45 driver cast his disappointment on their pit crew, while also acknowledging Larson’s moves.

“Yeah, we had a really good (car), just stupid mistakes on pit road. Same sh*t, different year. It gets kind of frustrating. We’ll continue to work on it,” said Reddick.
