At the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the race ended early with Aric Almirola winning ahead of Christopher Bell. Admittedly, Bell was a touch disappointed to miss out on the win, as he was steadily hunting Almirola down. He confessed to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that he made the mistake of using a dark windshield.

As a result, he was forced to open his visor at different intervals, after the last green flag pit stop. He said, “I basically caught [Almirola] at the chequered flag, I was within one second. Passing him was going to be another story and I’m sure he was going to make my life miserable, trying to get by him.”

Apparently, there came a point where Christopher Bell lost track of the lap count. However, he did say that he would have liked to finish the race under the green flag. Bell joked that he was the guy who finished 2nd, so he would have loved the longer race, the race winner would have a different opinion.

What else did Christopher Bell say?

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver knew that the lapped cars would make things difficult for Almirola. However, he knew that if he had eight laps on hand, it would have been an exciting finish. Obviously, he was disappointed to fall short, but he can be happy that he beat the Penske trio.

Now, he will be looking forward to the coming races and the regular season finale. From there, the competition will heat up as the Playoffs kick off. In the championship, Bell sits in 15th place and he already has a win under his belt. With that one win, he has automatically qualified for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. Admittedly, he knows that the job is not done yet and he will be pushed to his limit in the Playoffs.
