NASCAR’s use of ‘underglow’ lights for the All-Star race wasn’t as successful as expected. Star driver Kevin Harvick is one of the guys who wasn’t a big fan of the lights that made the underbody of the cars glow.

The lights were used as an experiment for the NASCAR All-Star race. With what we have heard, it seems like the experiment didn’t garner a lot of support.

After the race, in an interview, he was asked about the lights and whether he will be looking forward to NASCAR using them again. He replied, “I wish mine would have fallen off(laughter).”

After that, he revealed that not many people were impressed by the fancy lights. And only his 8-year-old kid thought that it looks good.

He said, “The only person that I talked to who thought that the ‘underglow’ lights were good was my 8-year-old. You know.. Hopefully, the kids liked it because that was, it was definitely something for them.

“I’m way out of that age to like the ‘underglow’ lights.”

However, William Byron sure did enjoy the light show. He said, “The lights under the cars were cool to see.
