Ryan Blaney and Ross Chastain were in the spotlight on the day NASCAR decided to roll out the red carpet for its Diamond anniversary. In fact, for the first time in Nashville, NASCAR tipped its hat to champions from a whole roster of series, including the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, ARCA Menards Series West, and NASCAR International Series. It was quite the celebration of speed and skill.

But in the midst of festivities, Ross Chastain found himself in a pickle. Fresh off his victory lap at Phoenix, Chastain faced an unexpected twist. Thanks to a little mix-up by his girlfriend Erica, he found himself in a bit of a bind. To smooth things over, he had to make a few calls. While he let the cat out of the bag about Erica’s faux pas on this special night, Chastain couldn’t help but fret about the ripple effects of airing this little laundry in public.

Ross Chastain had no shoes to wear for the Nashville event

Ross Chastain at the Nashville event did not have a single shoe to his name that would match his sharp formal attire. He recounted the tale with a chuckle, “When I went to put on my shoes tonight for this, I bought two left. Actually, Erica picked up shoes for me and bought two lefts.”

When the reporter playfully pointed out that Erica was within earshot and couldn’t chime in, Ross, with a mischievous grin, quipped, “Well, I have the mic right now. I’ll deal with the consequences later. I sat down at the side of the bed and there were two lefts.” He shared how, in a scramble, he had reached out to William Byron, who could only offer a pair of black and white sneakers. “And then I called you, so you were second,” he admitted to the reporter with a grin.

Ironically, Ross probably ended up borrowing a pair of shoes right from the reporter he was chatting with. Talk about turning the tables!

However, on the professional front, currently, fresh off his thrilling victory lap at the Phoenix finale race, Ross Chastain is diving headfirst into another exciting venture – he has already started making waves with his podcast debut, as the latest buzz suggests.
