In 2019, NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. posted a photo on Facebook of a broken down, wrecked and dusty race car sitting in a forest. Many wondered how did this car get where it was and just why Earnhardt posted the caption that he did.

“I’ve been looking for this car for about a year. Deep in the Racecar Graveyard is Wayne Jesel’s land speed car that was converted from an old xfinity car. These cars would compete on airport runways to run over 200 mph in a one mile trap from a standing start. I say I’ve been looking for it because my property manager never tells me where he puts the new additions. That’s just adds to the mystery of the graveyard,” Earnhardt had written.

Graveyard, you ask?

Affirmative. A graveyard, with its own name, ‘Dirty Mo Acres’.

Yes, to add to his cool, which already was through the roof, Earnhardt also owns a piece of land that houses quite a collection of wrecked race cars. And why wouldn’t he?

After all, he’s the third-gen race car driver in his family and the richest driver in NASCAR today, worth over $300 million.

So, having a race-car graveyard, one in which the 15 time Most Popular Driver goes out for an occasional treasure hunt, makes complete sense.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has done more than what his name is associated with

We all know Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the son of the legendary Dale Earnhardt. While this may have its own perks, Earnhardt Jr. was largely relegated to his father’s shadow.

But instead of finding comfort in the shade of the shadow, he went out and made a name for himself in things beyond NASCAR.

Earnhardt Jr. has his own successful podcast and media company, Dirty Mo Media. He has also done voice acting, produced a music video, featured in a Jay Z music video, owns a successful restaurant, starred in a network TV show, and owned a production company.

Clearly, Earnhardt has made a name for himself beyond his name. This has taken him to the top of the richest NASCAR drivers list.

Yet, the coolest thing about Dale Earnhardt Jr. is arguably ‘Dirty Mo Acres’ – the race car graveyard.
