Bristol Motor Speedway, the legendary NASCAR venue, is gearing up for a historic MLB speedway classic. It will host its first-ever Major League Baseball regular‑season game this coming August. The excitement is palpable for a never-before-seen sporting crossover as the Atlanta Braves take on the Cincinnati Reds. More importantly, this marks a significant milestone for both MLB and the Speedway itself. Arrangements are being made for field construction, themed entertainment zones, and special performances. As preparations accelerate, the rules that govern fan behavior at this iconic venue take on new relevance. Whether you’re a diehard NASCAR enthusiast or an MLB fan visiting Bristol for the first time, it’s important to know the venue’s policies. From smoking policies and bag restrictions to food rules and fan conduct, here is what you need to know before heading to Bristol.
Is smoking allowed at the Bristol Motor Speedway?
Smoking, including traditional cigarettes, e‑cigarettes, and vaping, is strictly prohibited in all enclosed and seating areas at Bristol Motor Speedway. This includes grandstands, entry portals, suites, terraces, restrooms, and the infield, under Tennessee’s Non‑Smoker Protection Act, which took effect in 2007. Fans are permitted to smoke only in designated open‑air zones, like specific concourse areas or parking lots outside the main stadium footprint.
