sounds like he didnt have money for 6 races and zane had money for 6 races. its not a hard decision when you know you have no shot at competing for a championship.

I guess there is a non-zero chance that Gilliland could find a ride for those other 6 races (15 maybe?), but I feel terrible for Gilliland.

However, despite the setback, there is still hope for the driver. He has mentioned that he would be working hard to get back up. Although, if it is his sponsorship money causing the issue, that can be fixed over time. Moreover, the time he gets racing part-time, he can also look for other racing opportunities as well. Most of all, take a step back and see what went wrong. Then come back stronger.
