With the Indianapolis Motor Speedway race over, FOX broadcaster Dale Earnhardt Jr. is back in his favorite podcast studio, musing about the racing event. But the conversation soon took a strange turn, leaving his co-host confused and fans intrigued.

In a surprising turn of events on the latest episode of the ‘Dirty Air’ podcast, racing superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. teased the idea of hitting a Broadway show with co-host Mike Davis. And let’s just say the mental image has fans in splits.

While the 2 times Daytona 500 winner was busy navigating the tracks at Indianapolis, Mike Davis was wandering the streets of New York City, exploring its wonders with his daughter. From Ellis Island’s deep-rooted immigration history to the dazzling lights of Broadway, Mike’s trip was full of revelations and first-time experiences.

“Yeah, that was pretty cool that I didn’t know you just heading up there. I sent you a text message, just trying to touch base, and you showed me some of the things y’all were getting into,” Junior stated.

But this was not all! Always up for a chuckle, Dale playfully quizzed Mike on his Broadway experience, hinting that he might be interested in checking out a show himself. And then came the kicker: “But if you and I were at a Broadway show?” he asked. Mike’s response? A candid and comedic, “It’d be weird.”

Could you imagine the scene? Two of NASCAR’s personalities are sandwiched between theatergoers as they take in a rousing rendition of “Les Misérables” or, maybe, a jazzy “Chicago” number. The contrast is almost too amusing to picture. But as Mike pointed out, it’s all about the experience and “one-on-one time.”

Junior did mention that “I guess, you know, right away I started thinking, man, I’m gonna have to take some notes here because one of these days I might be taking my girls on a trip like that to see some of the some of the great things we have across this country.” This is not the first time Earnhardt Jr has showcased his close bond with his daughters.
