“It’s About Money” – Dale Earnhardt Jr’s Nephew Reveals the Trouble Tony Stewart Put His Uncle in as He’s Left With a Seat to Fill

Amidst the whirlwind of big names in NASCAR, there is one name that keeps getting sidelined and popping up again—Jeffrey Earnhardt, the talented nephew of Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. As speculations swirl around his future, Jeffrey finds himself in the spotlight once again, linked directly to a potential seat at JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series.
Tony Stewart confirmed earlier that Josh Berry will be joining Stewart-Haas Racing as a full-time Cup Series driver in 2014. This means that Berry’s seat in JR Motorsports’ #8 Chevrolet Camaro will be vacant. Though this is troublesome for Dale Jr as he needs to find Berry’s replacement quickly, rumors have started circulating that JRM will see another Earnhardt taking the wheel
But as Jeffrey himself notes, there is one important component—money—that might make or break this exciting chance. While the chance to drive for his uncle in a competitive car has Jeffrey excited, it all boils down to securing the necessary financial backing.

The crucial role of financial backing to get a seat in the Xfinity Series team owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr
In a recent open interview with Frontstretch, Jeffrey Earnhardt, full-time Xfinity Series driver for Alpha Prime Racing, discussed the possibility of joining his uncle’s organization. The 34-year-old racer provided details regarding the crucial behind-the-scenes negotiations that might enable him to sign with JR Motorsports.
A possible partnership between Jeffrey Earnhardt and JR Motorsports will depend heavily on how much financial backing Jeffrey brings to the table. In addition to acknowledging the value of money, Jeffrey also thanked his current partners for their assistance. Jeffery emphasized, “Like anything, it’s about money. You gotta have the funding, I’ve been blessed with the partners I have but it’s a big expense and trying to find all the money to put all that together is the biggest factor to it. We’ll see where it ends up. It’ll be interesting to see where everything ends up, but it’s definitely one of the things on the table for sure.“
