Kyle Larson’s big Netflix splash

The word around the new NASCAR series on Netflix is heating up, and it’s drawing comparisons to the platform’s hit, ‘Drive to Survive,’ which takes fans behind the scenes of Formula 1’s thrilling season. This fresh series decked out with five episodes that run for about 45-50 minutes each, dives into the heart-pounding 2023 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, shadowing nine drivers as they battle tooth and nail for the coveted Driver’s Championship. The lineup is stellar, featuring the likes of Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Ross Chastain, Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace, our man Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick.

Kyle Larson is currently turning heads not just on the track but off it as well. Some even toss around the idea that he’s the most versatile wheelman in the world of motorsports, with his hands steering everything from sprint cars and Late Models to the pinnacle of NASCAR.

Cue the Netflix teaser Larson shared, bubbling over with anticipation for his streaming debut. The clip, accompanied by the caption, “Excited for my @netflix debut tomorrow. NASCAR: Full Speed premieres on January 30 🍿,” features none other than Jeff Gordon, the big gun at Hendrick Motorsports. Gordon spilled the beans, revealing Larson’s eye on the prize: to etch his name among the sport’s legends. In a heart-to-heart during the season’s grand finale episode, Gordon lays it out, “When you have many people that are praising you for your talent, then you feel like you have to live up to that. He wants to be known as one of the greatest of all time.

As 2024’s racing calendar gets crowded, Larson is already pegged as a hot favorite for the Busch Light Clash, revving up for what promises to be an electrifyingly busy season for him.

Kyle Larson’s dance card for 2024 is filled to the brim, yet he’s still the talk of the town as a top contender. This season is shaping up to be a landmark one for him, with his much-anticipated Indy 500 debut and his commitment to tear up the track full-time in the #5 Chevy Camaro ZL1 for the Hendrick Motorsports team.

Larson isn’t one to kick back and take it easy in the off-season. Instead, he’s been burning rubber at various races, keeping his skills sharp and his name hot on the racing circuit. This hustle is exactly why he’s tipped as a frontrunner for the season’s opening Cup race.

No matter the battleground—be it a tight short track, a sprawling superspeedway, or a twisty road course—Larson is often the name on everyone’s lips. As we gear up for The Clash, the buzz hasn’t changed. Although Martin Truex Jr., last year’s victor and a wizard on the quarter-mile track, is pegged as the man to beat, Larson’s prowess shouldn’t be underestimated.
