“Probably my favorite part of the Nashville race was watching Chase and Bill Elliott racewith each other. I literally have the best seat in the house, I was right behind both of them while they [were] racing each other. I’m like, ‘this is so cool’,” Tony Stewart continued. “Because, you know, it was cool that NASCAR gave their blessing to let Chase come and run and Hendrick let him come as well. And it was fun. Beyond just racing against his father, the 2020 Cup Series Champ got to represent NASCAR in another racing series. And that was a very special moment for him. But seeing him out there racing in Nashville reminded Stewart of the time he did something similar, too.

Earlier during his racing career, Tony Stewart competed in the IROC series and represented NASCAR, too. And Chase took him back to when he was doing the same himself.
