As the season progresses, NBC will take over NASCAR’s coverage from FOX. Along with that, we will see the return of a fan-favorite driver to the NASCAR Cup Series. The driver will be a new addition to NBC’s commentary box this season. He just revealed his plans to make a grand return. The person in question is Parker Kligerman. He teased his return in a recent podcast.

Parker Kligerman Returning To NASCAR Cup Series?

In a recent interview on the NASCAR on NBC Podcast, Kligerman revealed his plans of coming up in the commentary box.

The 31 year old said, “Looking forward to getting going with NASCAR on NBC and kicking it off on the broadcast,”

He added, “I’m sure if you turn on in a NASCAR race in the next couple of months, I will be there in some capacity.”

And, the interviewer asked the driver, “This is gonna be on the Xfinity and Truck series?”. And, he replied with the most important detail, “All three series, yeah. It’s unbelievable.”

NASCAR On NBC Schedule For 2022

NBC Will take over the broadcasting for NASCAR. And, the racing will resume on the channel after the off-season, with the first race being in Nashville. And, according to NBC’s website, the 2022 schedule is as follows.

  • The final six races of the Cup Series Playoffs will be shown on NBC, including Talladega (Oct. 2; 2 p.m. ET), the Charlotte Roval (Oct. 9; 2 p.m. ET), and the Championship Race in Phoenix (Nov. 6; 3 p.m. ET);
  • The Cup Series regular-season finale will air live in primetime on NBC for the third consecutive season at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, August 27, at 7 p.m. ET;
  • USA Network debuts as NBC Sports’ cable home of NASCAR, presenting more than 25 Cup and Xfinity Series races in 2022. The Xfinity Series kicks off NASCAR on USA Network on Saturday, June 25 at 3:30 p.m. ET from Nashville Superspeedway, while the Cup Series premieres on USA Network on Sunday, July 3, at 3 p.m. ET from Road America.

  • NBC will broadcast the Cup Series at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course on Sunday, July 31 at 2:30 p.m. ET, marking the third consecutive year of the NASCAR/INDYCAR doubleheader at IMS on NBC.
