An early crash at the Xfinity race at Dover has resulted in an early exit for J.J. Yeley. Coming off Turn 1, Dawson Cram seemed to have made contact with Hailie Deegan’s No. 15 car, and Yeley was also caught in the pile-up. As a result, he rammed his car into the wall, losing the entire rear end. Yeley questioned the motives of Dawson Cram over the radio, saying, “I’m fine. What a dumb*** move by the 4 (Dawson Cram)”.

Deegan, who is running her first race at Dover, also incurred severe damage to the front end of her car. The left fender of the No. 15 Ford Mustang had to be detached in a bid to keep the hood attached with the help of the magical tape. This is indeed a big blow for Deegan and her team, considering how well they have been running in recent races.

However, despite the big crash early in the race, none of the FOX cameras were able to get hold of the entire incident. This isn’t the first time that FOX coverage has failed to capture the most eventful moments from the race. Trying to make amends for their failure, FOX shared a rather vague replay via X, which wasn’t enough for the fans.

Fans react to the abysmal FOX coverage of the Xfinity Series race at Dover

It has to be noted that the racetrack is just a mile in length, and given the extensive camera set up by the broadcaster, they can easily cover all the important happenings in the race. But FOX still couldn’t cover the first crash in the race.

“the track is literally 1 mile and you couldn’t have a single camera in the area to see anything?” a fan replied on the replay.

Moreover, this has become the norm, where fans have to rely on Twitter or social media handles to know the details regarding the crashes. Not to forget, FOX has also been notorious for switching to commercials, which has only made matters worse.

Taking a jibe at poor coverage by the broadcaster, a fan wrote, “I don’t suppose there’s anyone at the track that could shed some light on what actually happened here?”

Highlighting how the replay failed to reveal the mystery behind the crash that took out Yeley from the race, a user added, “You clowns can’t get us actual crash footage?!”

Sharing similar sentiments about replay, another user wanted a switch in the role of the broadcaster. Demanding a return of NBC in place of FOX. “Fox can’t even get the entire wreck on replay… bring in NBC already. Fox is lost this year. Horrible camera shot’s of wrecks”.
