Later on, a Reddit user by the name of razgrizzeroone shared Kelly’s Twitter post with the caption ‘Jeff Andrews says no decision yet on who will drive the 9 car next weekend at Phoenix Raceway. Andrews says Hendrick Motorsports will get together tomorrow to go through everything and he expects a decision then as haulers leave early in week.’
It had NASCAR redditors buzzing with speculations.
What do the fans think about Jeff Andrews’ pending call for no. 9 car?
One fan on Reddit suggested that Bill, Chase’s dad, who bought his son a snowboard, should be considered for the job. Some have suggested Josh Berry, who had already replaced Elliot at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
There has also been some discussion about the possibility of Corey LaJoie, who drives for Spire Motorsports, being loaned to the No. 9 team. However, one fan pointed out that this scenario is unlikely due to Spire/Lajoie’s sponsors not being willing to share their car with another driver.

Despite the various names being thrown around, most fans seem to agree that it will be Berry or Allgaier who will fill in for Elliott. While Berry’s performance in his debut was not spectacular, many fans are willing to cut him some slack and give him another chance to prove himself.
As for the idea of Jeff Gordon making a comeback, it seems to be just wishful thinking on the part of some fans.
