Jimmie Johnson to Race in a ‘Counting Cars’ Design By Danny Koker at the Las Vegas Race

Jimmie Johnson likes his vehicles. He is tied in with racing and driving the vehicle at 200mph. The 7-time NASCAR Cup Series champ is likewise known for his notorious car collection.

Although he is probably the quickest person on the track on race days, he jumps at the chance to gather old hot rods and drive slowly on the road. Jimmie Johnson drives the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for Hendrick Motorsports. Above all, he is the only driver in NASCAR history to win five sequential titles.

Jimmie Johnson is collaborating with Danny Koker, proprietor of ‘Count’s Kustoms’ in Las Vegas. Danny Koker is well known for the American reality television series Counting Cars. Danny and his group refurbish vehicles and motorbikes and are known for their idiosyncratic style.

Johnson said: “I kind of have two avenues of car collecting. One is trying to find cars that I’ve raced and then the other side is just some of the cool cars that I have always wanted as a kid growing up.”

Jimmie Johnson will be working with Danny to design the race vehicle for the Las Vegas race.

The veteran owns a ’67 Camaro, Chevy Bel Air, ’51 Merc among other amazing cars. He also owns a ’49 Chevy Pickup with a Corvette engine. However, Johnson’s favorite muscle cars are the classic Stingray Corvette and the ’67-’69 era of Camaros.

Las Vegas race track is quite special for Jimmie Johnson. He has won 4 races over there. Jimmie mentions he likes the idea of going for the retro livery. However, Johnson said that he also likes the flames on Jeff Gordon’s car.
