Joe Gibbs Racing Trio of Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr and Denny Hamlin To Lead the Grid at Talladega

Joe Gibbs Racing had a full house in NASCAR latest random draw for Talledega. Martin Truex Jr, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch will start in the first three spots in Sunday’s GEICO 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Recently, NASCAR announced the result of the random draw. And to everyone’s surprise, all three Joe Gibbs Racing drivers got the prime spots. Truex Jr will like to convert this opportunity into his first Cup Series race win at a superspeedway.

Additionally, last week’s race winner Denny Hamil will like to continue his strong performance as he starts from the front of the grid. The 188-lap, 500-mile race will start at 3:00 PM EST on Sunday at Talledega. The race will have two stages of 60 lap each.

NASCAR’s young start Chase Elliott wasn’t very lucky and will start in the eleventh spot. Bubba Wallace who was recently in news as the flagbearer of NASCAR’s fight against racial discrimination will start the race at the twenty-fourth spot. After NASCAR’s return, Bubba has faced issues race after race and will try to end his bad luck and score a ‘top 10′ finish.

Additionally, Hendricks Motorsports’ Alex Bowman will start at the eights spot fourth time in a row.

Jimmie Johnson will join Kyle Busch in the second row

NASCAR veteran Jimmie Johnson will start the race alongside Kyle in the second row. The outgoing seven-time world champion will be looking to end his recent Cup Series ‘winless streak’ in Talledega. However, getting past the strong Joe Gibbs racers won’t be easy.
