Joey Logano has sealed for himself a championship berth after winning at the Hollywood Casino 400 earlier in the day. This leaves just 3 spots open with 2 races to go in the Round of 8. Onto Phoenix now, where Logano has already won this season.

Racing is serious business and Logano, fresh from a win, has gone on to mention that he sees racing purely as his job, and it is anything but fun for him. He, however, loves the winning bit in it and that is something he enjoys the most about racing.

I don’t have fun driving a racecar. I have fun winning. That’s what I enjoy doing. That’s what this is at this point. If I want to have fun, I’ll go to a go-kart track and have fun. I don’t look at it as fun. I look at it as a job to win,” said the #22 Ford driver.

Logano also added that it wasn’t fun racing Kevin Harvick, but was happy to have got a win.

How Joey Logano and the others fared at Kansas

After a nearly 40-lap battle with Kevin Harvick, Logano finally beat him off the pit-road in the final caution of the race to seal the deal.

Meanwhile, Harvick, on the other hand, has no reason to lose sleep since his second-place finish still finds him in a prime position to reach the championship.

Joey is a good blocker,” Harvick said.

On the contrary, Chase Elliott, who found himself in a good position after the win at Charlotte, now finds himself outside the playoff spot, after finishing sixth.

Alex Bowman and Kurt Busch find themselves in hot water, and Martin Truex Jr., had a forgettable day overall, to say the least.

The Penske driver who knows a thing or two about winning championships, having won last in 2018 at Martinsville, feels that with the qualification out of the way, can now devote 100% of his time for the race at Phoenix.
