With the new NASCAR season still a couple of months away, two-time NASCAR champion Joey Logano is indulging in some off-track racing. He recently put up a tweet somewhat recreating an iconic scene from a beloved NASCAR film. He pulled it off, but not exactly at a racetrack as the movie did, rather on what looked like an indoor football field.

The ending scene of the cult classic NASCAR movie, Days of Thunder, showed Tom Cruise’s character and his crew chief race on foot with each other. When race day arrived, Joey Logano effortlessly cruised into the distance, only being overtaken by non-playoff drivers once or twice throughout the race. Meanwhile, behind him, the watermelon man pushed Chase Elliott out of his way and into the wall in his quest to chase behind the Team Penske driver. However, at the end of the day, Chastain was never able to catch up to Logano. Moments later, Logano crossed the checkered flag and claimed the 2022 Cup Series championship. This made him one of the few drivers on the present grid to have two championships to his name.
