Josh Williams might not have gotten off to the best of starts at Kaulig Racing in this year’s Xfinity Series campaign but he does not have any time to give to haters. Recently, the 30-year-old was in somewhat of a war of words with someone who was not his fan on social media. They had tweeted about how much they hated the Kaulig Racing star and when he gave a befitting reply, several race fans stood firmly behind him.

Kaulig Racing star shuts down obnoxious hater after top-10 finish at Martinsville

Kaulig Racing driver Josh Williams’ start with the team has not been great. However, he picked up his first top-10 finish on Saturday at the Martinsville Speedway. While most fans were quite impressed with the 30-year-old’s performance, one made their opinions clear on X about the driver as they tweeted, “Also josh williams i hate you i hate you i hate you.”

Unfazed, the driver of the #11 car retorted with a befitting reply, stating that he was glad they weren’t his fan based on their previous social media activity. “Sorry you feel that way but after seeing all your post……. Mmmmmm glad your not a fan of mine,” he wrote.

NASCAR fans are known to be among the most opinionated and loudest of any sport in the world and they once again proved to the world why that is the case. Only this time, they spoke in support of a driver against a fellow fan who now will probably think twice before taking shots at the drivers for no reason.

In today’s day and age, one of the biggest criticisms NASCAR has faced is that most of their drivers do not have any personality. Josh Williams is certainly not one of them. When he let a bit of that side out on social media, fans absolutely loved it. One user commented, “I kinda like you @Josh6williams If that means anything to you,” to which the driver gracefully replied, “Heck Yea”.

Another user suggested that people were just jealous of his beautiful, long, and flowing hair. “It’s the hair. They are jealous of the hair”. Another fan suggested that Josh Williams had enough talent to beat his hater in a kart race which may be a slightly unfair comparison. “You probably beat this keyboard warrior in a go kart race at Charlotte county back in the day,” they quipped.

Other fans advised the Kaulig Racing driver to keep his focus on racing and keep all of the noise out. “Not too sure what you did wrong that caused that anger. Hang in there, Josh.  People say weird things,” one user wrote.

“Josh do great things with the opportunity you have. Don’t listen to the haters. You are a good driver,” opined another.

Given Josh Williams’ attitude, it’s highly likely that he already does not put a lot of thought into what his haters think about him. He let his driving speak for him at Martinsville and that’s exactly what he will be hoping to do later on as well.
