“I’d like to win a minimum of one race, you know, just because I know that I can do it and I know Kaulig can do it. You know I’d like to make the playoffs, in our first year, I think that would be a huge accomplishment for myself, be my first year over here and you know getting my feet wet and learning these race cars, cause they are definitely different than any one of these,” said Williams.
The #11 Xfinity driver also revealed about his equations with various members of the team and revealed how New Zealand driver Shane Van Gisbergen might be a beast on track, but off of it, he’s a quiet person.

Josh Williams is having a great time with his new team. Having made an acquaintance with most of his team members during his ARCA days, the driver is getting along well with them. He also revealed how hanging out with fellow racer AJ Allmendinger is a lot of fun, as they possess similar aspects. Even though they seem to have different approaches, they go along quite well with each other.
However, his bond with SVG is not that close on a personal level. Williams mentioned how SVG seems to be introverted when it comes to his off-track persona.
“The first day I walked into the shop, I know a lot of these guys. I’ve hung out with a bunch of those people even in the ARCA days. Some of them even helped me on my car back in the day. Got good relationships with all those guys and hanging out with AJ has been a ton of fun. Me and him, we’re pretty…match personality-wise. Maybe we have a different approach but we like to have fun, so that makes a big difference. SVG, I really ain’t talked to him much. He’s kind of quiet. I don’t know if he knows how to take me and AJ yet, but it’s going to be fun,” he said in the interview with Frontstretch.
