Bubba Wallace simply can’t catch a break. No, not from the bad luck that tainted his performances on track for the majority of the current season, something that has gotten better recently as his finishes reflect.

He can’t catch a break from senseless, needless, and unwarranted hate from completely unexpected and irrelevant sources, like Nick Adams, the political activist and author sponsored by former President Donald Trump.
This time, Adams took to Twitter to criticize the 23XI Racing driver’s P2 finish in Michigan, describing it as “another tough loss.”
Bubba Wallace had another tough loss on the racetrack today in Michigan.
Maybe it's time for him to accept that racing is not his sport.
NASCAR would be better off without him.

Naturally, NASCAR fans jumped in the defense of the driver who has recently shown just how good and competitive he can be under the ideal circumstances and consistency.
This right here is the bullshit Bubba Wallace has to deal with for simply existing. pic.twitter.com/ayBdr7goPy

What did Bubba Wallace say after his P2 finish in Michigan?
In the post-race interview on the front stretch, a distraught Bubba Wallace couldn’t hold back the frustration and heartbreak he had after finishing, what was really a good spot, P2.
Wallace beat himself up for his result, emphasizing just how he has failed his team, and fans.
“Replaying everything I could have done. Took the top there on the restart,” Wallace said.
“All in all an incredible weekend. Appreciate my team. Wish we could have got Toyota in Victory Lane. Wish we could have got McDonald’s back in Victory Lane. She was fast all week. I’ll wear this one on my heart for a while. I failed everybody.”

Now, this was something for which Wallace received a lot of criticism, for criticizing his own result and being too hard on himself. However, one also has to understand the circumstances he’s in terms of his playoff chances.
A win and he’d have turned his season potentially, and on the other hand, it’d be a disappointment, at least in his own words.
