NASCAR star Kevin Harvick is a proud dad as his son Keelan climbs the motorsports ladder. Keelan, who is just 8 years old made his karting debut this year in June.
Harvick posted a Tweet expressing his bliss over his son’s first win. He wrote, “Awesome family moment today being able to celebrate Keelan’s first Karting win! #prouddad”
Earlier this year in June, Harvick posted highlights of his son’s first pole position in karting. He wrote, “Long week of racing but my favorite race of the week was Keelan’s first!!! Got his first pole ran all the laps and we had fun!! #62”
Keelan has been spotted in his dad’s car a couple of times over the last few years. And he has taken several rides in his father’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series cars during his victory celebrations.
As fate would have it, it looks like Harvick Jr. is well on his way to conquer the world of motorsports like his father.
Kevin Harvick who currently sits at the top of the NASCAR Cup table will look to extend his lead as he starts the Kentucky race in the third place. He will join his Stewart-Haas teammate Aric Almirola.
Kyle Busch will start the race from pole and will look to bring his winless streak in the Cup series to an end. Kyle will be joined by Joey Logano in the first row.
Last week, Harvick won the Brickyard 400 to extend his lead. It was his 3rd win the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He now boasts of four wins in 2020 and has an 85-point lead over second-place Chase Elliott in the driver standings.
