Following the NASCAR Cup race at the Bristol Motor Speedway, there are still divided opinions. Many like Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, Freddie Kraft, Kevin Harvick, and others, were not fond of racing on dirt. However, there were a few supporters like Ty Dillon, who felt that it will help the sport grow.
Meanwhile, Harvick clarified his comments about the Bristol race and insisted that he referred to something else. To be exact, he talked about the confusion surrounding the race results during the red flag.
He said, “The thing I don’t like about the dirt race is the unorganisation of not knowing the rules. We were told there was going to be a caution at lap 10 for mud and we went until what, 12 or 13? Our motor would hardly go because it was plugged up. It ruins the first part of the whole race because it didn’t happen like they told u sit was going to happen. It’s the inconsistency from all that standpoint.”

“If it would have kept raining and we didn’t know who won the race, it would have been mass hysteria. So, if we can’t run the race properly and know all the rules, and not start working on taking windows and things out of it 10 days before the race, come up a proper plan and be proactive, we don’t need to do it.”

What lies ahead for Kevin Harvick in NASCAR?
At the moment, the Stewart-Haas Racing driver lies 13th in the championship. He has been seeking his first win of the season, having come close at the Richmond Raceway. Luckily for him, there are plenty of other races for him to try and snatch that elusive win. It is worth mentioning that 2020 was one of his best seasons, having rivaled Denny Hamlin for the most wins that year.

Sadly, he fell short of the Championship 4, and the title went to Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott. 2021 was a difficult campaign for him, as he went winless for the first time since 2009. The bad news is that the veteran driver is in danger of going winless once again. That is unless he can turn things around later on.
