With the NASCAR National Series concluding, racing fans are on the lookout for anything exciting that comes their way. And they got just that when the ownership group of CARS Tour involving Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton, and Trackhouse Racing boss, Justin Marks relayed the news about their new title sponsor – zMax.

While the Late-Model asphalt racing extravaganza has concluded with the Kvapil brothers taking home the titles across its 2 divisions, all eyes are on Harvick‘s #62 car which will be driven by his former SHR teammate Ryan Preece, who will pilot this KHI car at the coveted Snowball Derby.

Unfortunately, Harvick will have no other option but to miss seeing Preece in action in his KHI car owing to prior commitments related to his 5-year-old daughter Piper.

Much like CARS Tour’s development into a premier Late-Model asphalt racing promotion, Kevin Harvick’s racing team KHI(Kevin Harvick Inc.) is also getting along pretty well. The team featured the Xfinity sensation and Harvick’s #4 SHR replacement in the #62 car at Hickory Motor Speedway for the “Fall Brawl”.

While Berry’s KHI debut at the track was a slight disappointment with the Late-Model legend losing out to 17-year-old sensation, Kaden Brown, the team has set high goals featuring Berry and Preece in the #62 for multiple events. This includes the highly anticipated Snowball Derby that is about to go down on December 3rd.

However, Harvick will miss out on the action as he will be accompanying his 5-year-old daughter Piper Harvick who is following her father and brother’s footsteps into the world of racing. Following the CARS Tour announcement earlier this week, Harvick said, “We’re going to be racing with Piper at Trackhouse Motorplex. We’ll watch her this weekend and go home to watch Ryan race on Racing America.”

This year’s Snowball Derby has an exciting lineup with top-notch drivers in the fray. Kevin will miss watching the action live in a race that is also set to feature popular names like William Byron.

Despite a rather heartbreak of a season, HMS star William Byron isn’t backing down from a challenge. The #24 HMS driver will be trying out his luck at the 56th Annual Snowball Derby, leading the NASCAR pack to battle in the 300-lap Late-Model showdown at the half-a-mile track in Pensacola.

Besides Byron, Ryan Preece, Erik Jones along with his former Legacy Motor Club teammate Noah Gragson and Carson Hocevar, who is Gragson’s replacement at LMC are slated to be a part of the 53-car field. The Late-Model extravaganza will be a test for the 2017 Xfinity Series champion whose best finish came in 2022 when he finished sixth.

One take at a time

Picture this: a fast & well set-up car roaring its V8 glory, zipping through the country roads. I?m the sort of person who?ll be instantly drawn to something like that. While major racing promotions have stepped closer to the EV revolution, NASCAR still has their V8s singing its tune, which got me into the world of Stock Car Racing.
