Last year, Kevin Harvick hung up his helmet on a storied career that’s a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame. Though it’s only been a short while since he stepped away, whispers are that Harvick’s already feeling the itch to get back in the driver’s seat. For now, Kevin Harvick is set to put on the analyst hat, ready to share his thoughts at Daytona. But there’s a buzz from his camp at Kevin Harvick Inc., hinting they’re gearing up for a full-throttle return to the track in 2024, eyeing the Super Late Model and Late Model Stock circuits throughout the year. But the question remains: will Harvick himself take a spin or two in the races?

Is Kevin Harvick eyeing a spot behind the wheel in his racing outfit?

Harvick, with his KHI Management roster brimming with talent from rookies to seasoned pros, sees diving back into the fray as the perfect storm. “With KHI Management representing drivers with all levels of experience, it felt like a good opportunity to jump back into full-time competition. We love to compete, and it brings all aspects of our businesses together on the track,” he shared.

Kevin Harvick Inc. is preparing a No. 62 Late Model Stock car with a driver lineup that reads like a who’s who of NASCAR: Cup Series contender Josh Berry, Truck Series talent Layne Riggs, freshly minted 2023 ARCA East champ William Sawalich, and rising star Landen Lewis. But that’s not all. The team’s also setting sights on Super Late Model showdowns throughout 2024, with Berry, Sawalich, Lewis, and Berry’s Stewart-Haas Racing comrade Ryan Preece taking turns at the helm of the #62 and #29 machines.

On another front, Brent Crews is eyeing the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock crown in the team’s #29 Mobil1 Toyota Camry, fresh off his Trans Am Series TA2 title and a win at the ARCA Menards Series stop in Illinois in 2023. But amidst the announcement, when prodded by a fan about his race day debut, Kevin Harvick calmly said, “June 😎.” So, is there a chance we’ll see Harvick himself trading paint in the Late Model or Super Late Model scrums?

And well, fans are quite excited to see Kevin Harvick behind the wheel. However, not sure of what the former SHR driver was talking about, inquisitive fans asked, When are you going to be at @KernRaceway?” A few others asked, “Where???” while a few more specific questions like, “At what track if I would love to see you race” and “Is there a schedule yet. Can’t wait. 👏🏼👏🏼,” were present on his post.

Teaming up with Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer in the commentary box, Harvick, the ex-speedster, stole the show. While Denny Hamlin’s crossing the finish line first should’ve hogged all the headlines, it was Harvick’s sharp insights that had everyone buzzing.

As soon as he was dishing out his two cents, Harvick touched on the perils of navigating a short track under a downpour, admitting, “I saw how challenging it is going to be for qualifying because of the fact that these are guys are slipping and sliding and running into each other already. I am glad I’m not driving.” Fans could not help but appreciate him.
