Too many cooks spoil the broth. And according to Bubba Wallace‘s spotter Freddie Kraft, that’s exactly what’s happening with NASCAR’s second-most popular racing series. Unable to understand why exactly the governing body requires four people on the same job, Kraft discussed his concerns about the NASCAR Xfinity Series with his co-hosts TJ Majors and Brett Griffin.

Furthermore, he explained, “I just hate this because he is a good friend of mine. Jesse Little called the race on Saturday. And you could tell that he is inexperienced at doing that job. You know, I felt like there was extra caution laps when we didn’t need to have caution laps.”

Although Kraft’s co-host TJ Majors disagreed with him, the NASCAR spotter continued, “I think it is on him. And I think because it’s the confidence of can I have a pit road at this point.”

Is Freddie Kraft questioning their capabilities?

No. In fact, he did admit that all the four people appointed for the position of the announcer (or race callers) are quite capable. However, the major reason why Kraft feels that it is important for NASCAR to look at the situation objectively is that too many people in one role might cause confusion.

He said, “Like I feel like these people are more than capable of doing their job. And this job to me should be, a kind of a sink or swim position. Like I could never spot if Brett’s [Griffin] standing over my shoulder going “Tell him inside. Tell him to that this guy is five back.’ This is either get out there and do the job or you are not ready.”

Freddie Kraft explains why this is unfair to NASCAR Xfinity Series competitors

According to Freddie Kraft, decisions like these have an effect on the competitors of the series. Furthermore, he questioned NASCAR for treating Xfinity as a training ground. He stated, “And I don’t know why we use our second-highest series as a training ground. It’s really not fair to the competitors of the Xfinity series.

“And I don’t understand why we bring in inexperienced people to throw in there once in a while. And this is not a knock on Jesse and Tiffany. I just don’t understand why we have four people doing the same job.”

Kraft also shared that during the initial years of his career (around ten to twelve years ago), there were only one or two professionals who called out the races every weekend. And only the ones that were really good at their job were appointed for the position.
