Following RCR’s major announcement, Kyle Busch will be onboard with them starting next year. The two-time Cup Champion stated that he was looking for a clean slate at Richard Childress Racing after all his mistakes at Joe Gibbs Racing.

After the conference, Kyle stated, “I hope that a fresh start can clean up some of the aggravations and mistakes and things like that. That has kinda happened over the last couple of years, on my side of things but. Just also seeing the investment and everything that Chevrolet’s been putting into the sport and their new tech centre and all that is intriguing and looking forward to seeing what’s that all about.”

He continued, “But to just be able to go race and get back behind the wheel again, to think that you are wanted somewhere and there are people that are excited about having you. As Richard mentioned, the whole organization, everybody on the shop floor is asking questions.”

This move from Kyle Busch is sure to hurt JGR and Toyota. Especially when it comes down to the realization that Busch also runs a Truck Series team. His latest association with RCR and Chevrolet would also indicate a shift in the cars used at Kyle Busch Motorsport. All in all a major loss for Toyota as a car manufacturer.

Talking about his newfound home, Busch stated that he felt as if RCR has almost a family ambience, which would be well suited to him. He then added that he is looking forward to working with the team and possibly getting to score more wins for himself and the team.
