Goodyear 400 was indeed a rollercoaster ride! While the race had numerous cautions Trackhouse Racing driver stole the show once again as he played the bad guy, taking to his rival Kyle Larson. Ross Chastain‘s reputation as a cut throat driver has become the talking point in NASCAR. And the #1 driver’s infamous reputation is just growing. Recently NASCAR’s radioactive segment showed Kyle Busch‘s crew chief asking the “bad boy” to look out for his former rival.

We’ll this was anyway a good call considering drivers have previously been instructed by their teams to “park” Busch.

Seeing Chastain’s no-limit kind of racing and dramatic stunts on track, even the Richard Childress Racing crew chief, Randall Burnett put out a stern warning for Busch asking him to be cautious of the driver.

While the whole NASCAR roster has detested the #1 driver for his aggressive racing style, the in-car radio conversation reveals something interesting about Busch that he said to his team.

Kyle Busch’s crew chief warns him about Ross Chastain as they cross paths again

For newer fans of the sport, even the “rowdy” has had his run in with Chastain. Last season had several episodes where both the drivers engaged in some bloody back and forth. Eventually, Busch brutally roasted Chastain as he coined a new term “chastained” for his victims. Fans took on the banter as they ripped the driver apart online.

With the recent in-car radio conversations going online, the community got a piece of the real time action on the track. While the rivals inched closer to each other, a brief moment of the race had Burnett call out to the #8 Chevy to watch out for any drama.

“All right, no matter what you choose to here. Dont let him dupe you into doing stupid s***.” exclaimed the RCR crew chief as Busch and his rival came close. On the other hand, Chastain let his team know his thoughts as he inched closer to Busch. He said, On this. I don’t trust the #8.”

Arguably, Chastain’s infamous reputation has even overshadowed his racing prowess. And after Sunday’s race, the situation worsened for the Alva native.

Following the altercation with fellow Chevy, Chastain feels the heat as his boss wants the mess to be cleaned up

After the intense rub-in with Hendrick Motorsports ace and fellow Chevrolet driver, Kyle Larson, Chastain landed himself in trouble. Recently, HMS team boss Rick Hendrick made a bold statement about the Watermelon Man, as he came in contact with the #5 Chevy. He said, “It’s really getting old with these guys. I don’t care if he’s driving a Chevrolet if he wrecks our cars, I don’t care. I’ve told Chevrolet that. If you wreck us, you’re going to get it back.”

While he escaped unscathed almost every other time, Larson caught him and bashed into his side, carrying him for a brief ride and putting the car out of contention. Even Justin Marks, co-owner of Trackhouse Racing, issued a stern message to his driver.

Talking to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Ch. 90), he said “He’s got some things he’s got to clean up. We, today, started a process of more aggressively handling that.”
