Brett Griffin and Freddie Kraft recently spoke about the contract problems surrounding Kyle Busch. Both spotters shared the reason why it has been so hard for Kyle to find a $25 million sponsorship.

During a recent Dirty Mo Media podcast, Brett said, “What Kyle Busch did in that video yesterday and I saw at NASCAR, is disrespectful. Where is your gratitude buddy? Where is your grace? Because you don’t ever display any. So maybe that’s why you’re not marketable enough to warrant a 25 million dollar sponsorship right now.”

Freddie said, “If you’re in July and we’re going racing in February how in the world are you gonna get somebody to commit 25 million dollars in the next six months?” Brett went on to say that sponsors usually take at least one year before they commit to a deal.

Both spotters think that if Kyle showed a little bit more respect and gratitude towards the people he’s working with, maybe then sponsors would be happy to jump on board with him.

David Wilson, president of Toyota Racing Development, said, “We’re in a bad place right now, we’ve got some tremendously heavy lifting in front of us.” With the question looming over Kyle’s next season, there’s a high chance that Joe Gibbs Racing might have to wave him goodbye at the end of this year.

After Kyle’s long-time sponsor M&M decided to pull out at the end of the season, both Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota have been struggling to find anyone to land the 25 million dollar deal for Busch.

With how things are going, it looks like Kyle might be too late to look for other seats as well. But again, things can change at any moment. We can only hope Kyle finds himself something as soon as possible or he might just not be there in 2023. Time is certainly ticking for him.
