Although the Cup Series season came to an end, that doesn’t mean racing has stopped at the Busch house. Kyle Busch is all set to take part in the Tulsa Shootout a day after Christmas this year and Rowdy won’t be the only Busch competing. 8-year-old Brexton Busch is all set to make an appearance in the competition as well. However, his mother has a skeptical outlook.
Tulsa Shootout is one of the biggest events for micro-sprint racing. Many drivers hope to win this famous event, which is entering its 38th year. The multi-day event has six distinct racing classes: the 600cc Junior Sprint class for children aged 6 to 12, the 600cc Outlaw Winged and Non-Winged Micros, the 600cc Stock Winged and Non-Winged Micros, and Restricted Micros.

Kyle Busch set to compete in prestigious micro sprint competition with Brexton
In an answer to a fan question on Instagram, Samantha Busch revealed that both Kyle and Brexton Busch would take part in the Tulsa Shootout on December 26 this year. The two-time Cup Series champion will reportedly compete in three categories – stock non-wing, non-wing outlaw, and winged outlaw.
On the other hand, 8-year-old Brexton Busch is reported to be competing in a couple of categories – restricted ‘A’ class and junior sprints. While junior sprints are what Brexton has a lot of experience in, the restricted race isn’t something he has competed much in before.
As per Samantha Busch, her son has only completed a couple of restricted races, which is making her unsure of his participation in the category. However, Brexton himself wanted to run in a restricted race and he had his father’s support.
When asked by a fan, “Are you guys going to Tulsa Shootout?” Samantha wrote, “You know it! Kyle will be racing as well. Brexton and Kyle want him to do restricted as well, but mom’s not so sure given Brexton’s only run two restricted races.” With this, she shared a picture of her and her daughter speaking to Brexton as he sat inside his race car in full race gear.
But do you think Samantha might just pull the plug on the whole thing if she is not sure about Brexton racing a restricted race?

Despite not being from the world of racing, Samantha Busch has made a smooth transition into it. She has been a co-owner of Kyle Busch Motorsports, which has seen a lot of success in the Cup Series. However, the team has now been sold to Spire Motorsports. As Samantha and Kyle Busch bid adieu to one of the most important aspects of their lives, it wasn’t all sad as far as their son is concerned.

Samantha Busch finds her son a Christmas present among KBM relics
In an earlier Instagram story, Samantha Busch discovered ornaments and Christmas trees. She explained that they were used at KBM to decorate the Christmas parties and now, her son Brexton was going to get a personal tree for his room. The 8-year-old was giddy with excitement at his room’s latest addition.
“It’s Christmas Day at the Bush House, and this year I was obviously cleaning out KBM. And I found what? Ornaments and Christmas trees from past parties. So this one (Brexton) is going to have a Christmas tree and his room today. So we are getting started on that,” she wrote.

It seems like Christmas has come early at the Busch household. Perhaps it is for the best, as father and son will have the Tulsa shootout on their minds on December 25. If the two perform well, one can be certain of a massive year-ending party at the Busch’s.
