Just as the new NASCAR season gets closer, Kyle Larson and his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports team get another major boost. After NationsGuard joined the team as a primary sponsor for the first three races of the season, Larson has bagged two more primary sponsors for the 2021 season.
The build-up to Larson’s comeback NASCAR season has been tense, as the team was not able to land external sponsors for the No. 5 car. However, the addition of Cincinnati and Freightliner helps the team’s cause greatly.
Both the brands are partners of Hendrick Motorsports, and will now join the No. 5 team specifically as well. Cincinnati and Freightliner will be primary sponsors for Larson for two races each in 2021. However, they will continue to be associate sponsors throughout the season.

Who are the new sponsors for Kyle Larson and the No. 5 team?
Cincinnati, a machine tool-making company, joined Hendrick in 2019 as a partner. Alex Bowman, who formerly drove the No. 88 car at the team, won a race last year with Cincinnati on his car at the Auto Club Speedway. Larson will hope the Cincinnati colors bring similar fortunes to him as well.
Freightliner, on the other hand, is a heavy-duty truck manufacturer and has been associated with the leading NASCAR outfit since 2004. They will feature on a car as primary sponsor for the first time.
The four combined races featuring Cincinnati and Freightliner as primaries have not been revealed yet. However, Larson now has external primary sponsorship for seven races in 2021.
Larson will run the NationsGuard paint scheme at the Daytona 500. The other two races with NationsGuard are at the Daytona Road Course and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Speaking about the new partnership, Larson thanked both partners. He also expressed confidence in his and crew chief Cliff Daniels‘ abilities to compete for wins, thus satisfying the existing sponsors and attracting new ones as well.
“Cliff has built a team that I know can battle for wins on a weekly basis. With the support of great partners like Cincinnati and Freightliner, I can’t wait to get back to the track and go to work. It’s great to have them along for the ride,” Larson said in a statement.
