There is no doubt that racing is the bread and butter for Kyle Larson. So much so that he never even keeps his schedule free for racing, even outside of the Cup Series. And this time, he has a big announcement about his off-NASCAR activities, because there is a good chance he could win a million dollars.

There is one condition for it though: he needs to win.

Kyle Larson just added another non-NASCAR challenge to his already busy schedule. But this one will solve the money issue he had with the Chilli Bowl because this time he could win an entire Million Dollars. Because the 2021 Cup Series Champ announced his participation in the Sprint Car Challenge at Eldora.

In a recent episode of Stacking Pennies with Corey LaJoie, Larson declared, “Yeah. I’m gonna run the sprint car deal this year. So, yeah, that’s one you want to win.”

It’s big news for Larson because, from the experience he’s had in Sprint Cars, there is no doubt he would be a scary competitor. It sure is bad news for the other competitors because racing against the HMS star will be a challenge. But the good news for the fans because now there is something really exciting to look forward to beyond the excitement of the 2023 Cup Series season.

Kyle Larson has found his place in racing outside of Chilli Bowl too

The Chilli Bowl argument made the headlines because his teammate, Chase Elliott, as well as Christopher Bell, joined Larson. But luckily, the Hendrick Motorsports driver found his place in the Wild West Shootout.

He said, “I’ve followed along with it the last handful of years. I’ve ran in the chili ball now for 15 years, and kind of just got to the point where I want to try something different and it just happens to be on the same week.”

It seems like he needed some change from the Chili Bowl, as he explained, “I was regardless, probably knocking on the Chili Bowl. And I was just trying to figure out, well, ‘do we go on a family vacation? Do I go racing?’ And, you know, our baby’s due any day now, and figure we couldn’t go on a family vacation. So might as might as well go race. So excited about it. Thanks to Kevin Rumley for making the long toe out to New Mexico.’”
