Kyle Larson Details the Aftermath of His Wife’s Viral Shotgun Celebration

Kyle Larson was on cloud nine after his win in Phoenix deservedly earned him the NASCAR Cup Series Title. The Hendrick driver went through a range of emotions after the chequered flag. From tears of joy to wild celebrations, Larson and Co. experienced them all.

In a recent interview, Larson was asked whether his wife, Katelyn Larson, regretted shotgunning the beer can in celebrations on Sunday. Mr. Larson said she didn’t have any regrets about her celebration but he revealed that Mrs. Larson and everybody else experienced the ‘morning after’.

“She was a trooper for sure, after the race, she was feeling rough yesterday.”

“I think everybody, though, had some headaches for sure, but she fought through the hangover,” Larson said.

Although Katelyn Larson received her fair share of headlines, courtesy of her celebration in her husband’s moment of glory. But this isn’t the only time that Katelyn Larson has celebrated in this fashion.

In fact, this is her own iconic celebration whenever her husband wins a title. She has usually celebrated Kyle Larson’s big moments by chugging down a can of beer on her own.

Kyle Larson finished off the season in a way in which he’d gotten used to for most of 2021. The No.5 driver secured his 10th win of the season in Phoenix, the one which mattered the most.

The Hendrick driver continued his ascent after making a comeback in this season. And he rose all the way to the very top as he lifted the Cup Series trophy.
