The shiny-looking green-and-black color scheme on his No.5 Chevrolet will be sponsored courtesy of NationsGuard, whose own logo sports similar shades. It also marks the Larson’s team’s first sponsor for the upcoming 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.

A statement on the team website read, “Kyle Larson, who will make his Hendrick Motorsports debut in the Feb. 14 DAYTONA 500, now has his first paint scheme of 2021 for the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE team.”

As mentioned, Larson’s newly crafted car would originally appear at the Cup Series opener come February 14. Following that, the same paint scheme will be visible in the consequent top division races at the Daytona Road Course as well as the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The statement continued, “The green and black colors of NationsGuard will adorn the No. 5 Chevrolet for the 63rd running of “The Great American Race,” including the Feb. 11 Duel qualifiers. It will also be featured on the car Feb. 21 at the DAYTONA Road Course and Feb. 28 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.”

The 2021 Chili Bowl champion will aim for a fruitful Cup Series campaign

Having recently secured the Chili Bowl title earlier this month, Larson got off to the right start in the racing season. Additionally, he will aim to notch more such achievements in the short and dirt tracks racing disciplines.

But at the same time, he now has a bigger responsibility piloting one of Hendrick Motorsports’ cars in the Cup Series. Needless to say, a premier team of such reputation will be expecting race wins and Top 5s, which even Larson will look to fulfill.

That said, fans cannot wait to see the brand-new paint scheme live in action on the track. Hence, Larson will sure look to make his sponsor proud, as he aims and prepares to secure an excellent result in the forthcoming Daytona 500 race.
