Kyle Larson Officially Joins YouTube and Shares Scenes From His Championship Parade

Ever since the rise of social media, many sportspersons have flocked to it. The most popular platforms where athletes engage with their fans are Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. A lot of celebrities and sports stars have social media profiles, but not many go down the YouTube route. This is because it largely works when they share video logs (vlogs) and clips.

Now, NASCAR’s reigning champion, Kyle Larson has officially become part of the YouTube community.

At the time of writing, his channel has already crossed 500 subscribers. In addition to that, his first video has garnered more than 2,500 views. That first video was about Larson’s championship parade in his hometown of Elk Grove, California. On the occasion, Larson and his kids climbed into a Chevrolet Corvette convertible and were driven around the city.

When he spoke to the crowd, Larson confessed that he was feeling quite overwhelmed. This was because he did not expect so many people to turn up. Nevertheless, he was grateful for their support in NASCAR and in the dirt racing scene.

Now that he is the champion, the next step in his career could be a little harder. Winning a title is one thing, but defending it is a whole new kettle of fish. Without a doubt, the battle will be tough; this can be gauged by the fact that no driver has been able to defend the title successfully since Jimmie Johnson.

So the big question on everyone’s lips is, can Kyle Larson do what only a few others have done before him? Can he be the spiritual successor of Johnson at Hendrick Motorsports? Larson’s star is steadily rising, and the champion is approaching his prime. However, there are other drivers, like Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and many more, who are just as capable.
