Back in 1998, Anthony Martin founded the Urban Youth Racing School (UYRS) in Philadelphia. Its primary objective was to help introduce minority students to motorsports. The Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson has been a massive supporter of this program to encourage younger generations. Recently, his foundation donated an astounding $100,000 to the UYRS in Philadelphia.

Speaking about the driver, Anthony Martin (founder of the school) said, “When I tell you (Larson) is intimately involved in the school, he is intimately involved in the racing school. When a student at the school was recently having some trouble with his lap times on one of the school’s simulators. He picked the phone right up. Kyle talked to him about how to negotiate the turns at that particular track. The students absolutely love him.”
Without a doubt, the Asian-American driver is a huge role model for everyone in the school. So it isn’t surprising that he wants to give back to the community. This extra injection of funds will definitely help the school grow and groom the next generation of talented drivers.
