Kyle Larson‘s High Limit Racing driver Brent Marks continues to leave his mark on the sprint car racing world. As the checkered flag waved in the 30-lap thriller, Brent Marks emerged as the victor, staging a spirited charge from the fourth row. This victory marked Marks’ 15th win with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars. This is his second victory in the state of Texas. The crowd erupted as Marks rolled into Victory Lane, celebrating his triumph during night one of the Texas Two Step.

Aptly nicknamed the “Myerstown Missile,” Marks skillfully maneuvered his Murray-Marks #19 car forward. He eventually sealed the deal by out-dueling Carson Macedo in a wild late-race battle. Notably, he became the fifth different driver to claim victory in a race with The Greatest Show on Dirt.

“It was a lot of fun,” said Marks after marking his 15th victory at the World of Outlaws

In recent years, Brent Marks has participated in a selective racing schedule. However, he has now chosen to fully commit to the national racing scene by joining High Limit Racing for the 2024 season. He opened up to the media after clinching the victory.

Marks said, It was a lot of fun. Hats off to this team. They just have worked their butts off all year so far. We’ve been qualifying a little bit better but haven’t been good in our race trim. And we just made the necessary changes coming into this weekend, and here we are. This is amazing.”

World of Outlaws took to their X account to congratulate the driver.

“It was just about finding enough grip there on exit. That was a pretty wild race. That was really fun, especially when we got in lapped traffic there. Hats off to the Cotton Bowl track crew for doing an amazing job,” continued Marks.

In a thrilling race, Sheldon Haudenschild and Carson Macedo battled for the lead. Haudenschild nearly spun out but managed to maintain his position. Brent Marks, methodically working his way up, joined the fight. Amidst traffic, Haudenschild executed daring moves, and a three-car crash added drama. The red flag waved as the intensity escalated.

After the race resumed, Brent Marks made a powerful move on the lower part of the track, overtaking Haudenschild to secure second place as they entered the first set of corners. His focus then shifted to Carson Macedo, the driver of the Jason Johnson Racing #41 car. Marks showcased his skills by maneuvering across the racetrack, and he strategically closed the gap on Macedo, particularly by taking an unconventional line through Turns 3 and 4.

After Brent Marks took the lead, a yellow flag interrupted the race, leading to a two-lap sprint to the finish. Undeterred by the excitement of the final restart, Marks accelerated as soon as the green lights flashed and secured the victory. Carson Macedo, who had led 20 laps in the Albaugh #41 car, bagged second place. This result marked his second consecutive podium finish. Despite his efforts, Macedo couldn’t get past Marks.

Brent Marks’ victory at the Cotton Bowl Speedway in Texas evidently showcased his skill and determination. It will indeed be fascinating to watch him in his upcoming races.
