However, Xfinity Series driver Landon Cassill was quick to point out that Hamlin is no saint either.

Hamlin was quite annoyed with the Trackhouse driver was overly aggressive on the circuit. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver revealed that he initially made it difficult for Chastain to pass. However, it was still a bad day in the office for the #11 driver as he dropped to the back of the pack.

Cassill wrote, “Hey I’m with ya man. Maybe I’m the one being a wimp here. Plus, it’s your championship battle, not mine. But I’ve seen Denny break his back over dumb vengeful driving and that didn’t look fun. Pay him back, whatever.”

What happened to Denny Hamlin that he picked up that injury?

Back in 2013, Hamlin was involved in a bit of a feud with Joey Logano. At the Auto Club Speedway, he and the Penske driver were battling for the lead on the final lap of the race. Suffice to say, there was a lot of argy-bargy between them and it didn’t take a genius to guess the end result. In the end, Logano smacked the outside wall and Hamlin went headfirst into the inside wall.

The impact injured Hamlin’s back, and he had to be rushed to the hospital because of it. Cassill was simply wondering if Hamlin would jeopardize his championship aspirations for petty revenge.
