Jordan Anderson Racing will be fielding three entries in the United Rentals 300 Xfinity race at Daytona International Speedway, with the team owner, Jordan Anderson. He will team up with his father-in-law and crew chief, Larry McReynolds. The 32-year-old owner of the team suffered a horror fire accident back in 2022 during the Truck Series race at Talladega, and since then has just featured once.

It was the event at Daytona International Speedway that saw him make his first racing appearance after the second-degree burn incident. His father-in-law, McReynolds, was at the helm, overseeing the role of crew chief, and with the recent announcement, he will return to his duties for the 2024 season’s opening feature.

Piloting Jeb Burton’s No. 27 Chevy, Anderson did manage a respectable P15 finish and will be eyeing a similar result this time around. For Larry McReynolds, this will be his third race honing his duties as the crew chief at Jordan Anderson Racing. But how does Anderson’s part-time feature add value to his team, which has been good on its own?

McReynolds and Anderson: A winning formula for JAR

Anderson has been hard at work, trying to build his team through the ranks, starting with the Truck Series and recently transitioning to the Xfinity Series. Last season, they ran successful two-car operations and even managed a win at Talladega Super Speedway. Jeb Burton was the driver who brought home the first win for the team.

Now building on last year’s P11 overall driver’s finishes, the team is expanding its lineup. While speaking to SiriusXM, Anderson confirmed his ride for the 2024 season along with the return of McReynolds as his crew chief. The 32-year-old owner of the team also confirmed that he will compete at the four traditional Super Speedway events, two races at Daytona and two at Talladega Super Speedway.

It will be Parker Retzclaff in the No. 31 Chevy, Jeb Burton in his No. 27 Chevy, and team owner Anderson piloting the No. 32 at the Daytona International Speedway. Having tasted a win at the Super Speedway last year, the trio of JAR drivers will be hunting for their second-ever win in the Xfinity Series.

The Jordan Anderson Racing team has cracked the code of churning out positive results on the Superspeedways, so going with a third entry for 2024 is a good call on their behalf.

It is not easy for a NASCAR team to find their momentum or groove in their initial years. Fortunately for JAR, they have identified their strengths and are looking to make the most of this experience in 2024. Last season, their two full-time entries, No. 31 (Retzlaff) and No. 27 (Burton), were highly impressive on the traditional Superspeedway tracks.

The No. 31 team got close to winning the Daytona events, finishing twice in the top ten last season, while No. 27 also managed to do well with top-twenty finishes. Burton even managed a win at Talladega, with his teammate Retzlaff securing a P7 finish at the event. Team owner Anderson himself managed a respectable #15 finish last year at the Daytona International Speedway.
