Fans find the funny part in Trackhouse Racing’s step-by-step SMASH process

In the Instagram reel, the first step to mimicking Ross Chastain’s signature celebration was to buy a watermelon, followed by finding a spot, and then eventually “SMASH!”

The next step was to find a place to eat, and then, quite hilariously, the fifth and final step in the tutorial was to “tell your friend they have a seed on their face,” as the visuals shifted to Chastain’s front stretch interview from last year in which he had a watermelon seed on his face.

This was something that many fans found pretty funny.

One of them wrote, “@teamtrackhouse is hedging their bets so that if racing doesn’t work out, all their employees can become comedians,” while another pleaded with Chastain, “Ross I’m a big fan and I love watermelons please stop destroying them.lol”

One of the fans claimed, “This needs to happen again this weekend!! Let’s go melon man!!!” while another termed the seed on Chastain’s face as, “The look of winning.”

But perhaps the funniest reaction was from a fan who wrote, “Legend has it that seed is still in his stashe.”

Ross Chastain is focused on NASCAR, but remains open to other “horizons”

In a recent interview, Ross Chastain opened up on his interest in racing in IndyCar as he mentioned the close proximity of the Cup simulators and the IndyCar simulators.

He revealed how he often has questions for the other guys, and while most of the advice he gets turns him away from that form of racing, some could one day come in handy. Still, for now, Chastain’s focus remains on Cup.

“I’m focused on Cup racing. If something ever came about where I could explore other racing — if it’s sports cars, other race tracks, other ways of racing cars,” he said according to NBC Sports.
